From the pic above which shows off the full board without the Thunderbolt card plugged in.
You can see it resembles the Maximus IV Extreme, as it has a lot of the similar stylings. Take a closer look and you'll see the USB3.0 header which is the red connector at the front of the motherboard, and it's brought back the Debug LED indicator at the top right corner of the board, which the Maximus IV Extreme has.
I'm hoping all the USB ports on this board are all USB 3.0 ports, but we'll see. They might have just made the USB3.0 ports on the R3E as just headers or they added 2 more as headers. We'll have to see.
I'm not a big fan of the new heatsink, I like the sleeker look of the R3E, but the R3BE still looks pretty bad ass.
I hope there's a few more goodies as well, can't wait for this new board, as it'll be my new board for my new desktop build. I can't wait for the 6core Sandy's, so I'm gonna bite the bullet and pick up the R3BE when it's out and hopefully by then the X995 is out or I'll settle for the 980X.
